Ai Skips Pty Ltd are proposing to expand the capacity of their existing best-practice waste transfer station at 16 Naru Street, Chinderah (Lot 1, DP1185359).
The proposal will provide more local recycling capacity for the sustainable management of building waste, helping to meet local demand for environmentally friendly alternatives to landfill.
A1 Skips intends to use the current waste transfer station more efficiently, and will result in a gradual increase in recycling over time.All waste receival and sorting will be done indoors, in accordance with the existing approval.No change in noise or air quality will occur as a result of the proposal, though there will be an increase in vehicles accessing the site. However, this will be well within the capacity of the road network.
The proposal will create four new full time operational jobs, helping to support local employment and economic growth within the region.
