Penrith Resource Recovery Facility

Nassif Civil proposes to operate a best practice construction and demolition Resource Recovery Facility at 29-37 Plasser Crescent North St Marys (Lots 15 & 16 DP263353).

The Resource Recovery Facility will have an annual waste throughput of up to 99,000 tonnes per annum. Waste received at the RRF will consist of construction and demolition waste in skip bin collects from the Greater Metropolitan region.

The Penrith Resource Recovery Facility will not accept any waste that is household, human, toxic, biodegradable, liquid or waste that contains asbestos

The facility will include state of the art equipment to process construction and demolition waste with minimal impact on the surrounding environment, including nearby residential areas and adjacent businesses. Appropriate controls to protect the environment will be utilised.

The Penrith Resource Recovery Facility will be an important piece of infrastructure, adding value to the area. The Penrith Resource Recovery Facility will use the existing building forms and materials, with landscaping works to improve visual amenity. 

The facility will represent a major piece of infrastructure that will assist in creating and retaining jobs within Western Sydney. The project has the capacity to inject millions into the local economy.
